Rehabilitation physicians "prescribe", administrate and refine rehabilitation for persons with disabilities such as impairments secondary to severe acute diseases. In particular, the distinctive works of Kyorin Rehab are the hyperacute stroke rehabilitation in stroke care unit settings, space medicine and rehabilitation, rehabilitation related health-care policy, and Neurorehabilitation targeting the central nervous system and/or the peripheral neuromuscular system in research.
Our missions are
- To provide patient-oriented tailor-made rehabilitation in cooperation with rehabilitation therapists, nurses and medical doctors.
- To establish the hyper-acute stroke rehabilitation.
- To train Rehabilitation physicians BE/BC who can manage any types of disabilities.
- To progress Rehabilitation medicine through researches and clinics.
Our research themes are
- Space medicine and rehabilitation.
- Rehabilitative health-care policy.
- Neurorehabilitation utilizing non-invasive brain stimulation / functional electrical stimulation.
